Was recording large # of samples - "Cannot write file!&

Hello folks, We were using our ADC24 with the 5.15.6 version of the PicoLog software to record two channels of 0-2.5mV data, once every 5 seconds. Sometime this last weekend, logging appears to have stopped. When I came in on Monday, there was an error dialog on the computer screen, saying something...

Hi Richard!

That sounds good, I think I'm getting it, first Recorder, then Player...

But your perspective couldn't hurt. :-)

I'll try to call today, Thursday 7Dec06.

Thank-you for your generous offer.

I now have two AA batteries I am 'monitoring' on Channels 1 and 2, and I obviously don't understand something about how and where the data I am recording is being saved. Can a PicoLog knowledgeable person give me the basics? If I freshly record 500 readings, at one /second, after the recording stops...

How does this work? Data gone, no graphs, invalid format...

Hey I guess I have the software and hardware installed correctly now (see reports in Getting Started) but what's up with the PicoLog software? Is it me? :-) I am using an older Windows 200 machine, with the ADC-24 logger and have installed the latest version of the software, downloaded just the othe...

And I just ran it a third time, and it is back to being the PicoLog Recorder!?

And it is back to saying I still need to go use the New Settings.

Perhaps this is normal? I'm reading....

Hi Sarah (et al), That helped. (I think!) I can now get past the dialog under New Settings where I would try to select the ADC-20 / ADC-24 from a list of devices and get the "no PicoHRDL.dll driver found" error. But after finishing all the New Settings and clicking Okay, I find myself back at the sa...

Hello Sarah,

So re-run the software installer ZIP thingie I downloaded?

I don't remember that choice, but I'll try running that installer and looking!

Thank you for the speedy response! :D

I'll keep you informed!

Best regards,

Hi Sarah, The device seems to listed correctly in the Device Manager, as a Pico High Resolution Data Logger, or something of the sort. The setting for unsigned drivers is to "warn'. But I still never saw the new device dialogs when I connected it, and when I try to use the New Settings in the PicoLo...

Can't get ADC-24 to work over USB! "No driver" err

Hi Folks! We just got our ADC-20/24 today, and I'm trying to connect it via the USB cable to my Windows 2000 computer. I inserted the CD that came with the unit, but the update link said there was a newer CD online. I went online, and it wasn't clear what to do. I downloaded the latest "full" softwa...
