Picoscope 6403A sampling problem

Hello, I recently find there is a sampling problem of the Picoscope which is very annoying. For example, if I send a 1 kHz sinusoid signal generated by Picoscope itself, when the sampling frequency is set at 1 MHz for a 2-second signal displayed on the screen (i.e. 2 million samples), the actual num...

Control 6403A using Matlab

Hi, As far as I know, you provide SDKs for 2000, 3000 and 5000 series allowing the control from Matlab. Will you release 6000 series Matlab driver in the future? Or at the moment can I use 5000 Matlab driver to activate a 6000 scope? I have tried to install 5000 Maltlab driver but there are too many...

Re: Sampling rate setting problem on PS6 of 6403A

Thanks for your reply, Martyn. :D I've attached the raw file and screen shot here. So current software setting is 2 million samples over 2-second time duration as can be seen in the first screen shot. And the hardware can actually capture only 1,990,050 samples. If my post-processing algorithm needs...

Signal stretched?

Hi, I sent a 1-second duration signal directly from AWG (1 million points in 1 MHz sampling frequency)to the scope (6403A), but I found the signal displayed on the screen is actually 1.0002 seconds (200 us more!). Do you have any explanation on this slightly stretched signal? Thanks very much. :D p....

Sampling rate setting problem on PS6 of 6403A

Hi, Is it possible to specify the number of samples (sampling rate) that can meet the requirement? Though I was told by the software itself that the actual number of samples could be different from the value I set, I still want the PC scope can capture as many samples as I need. For example, if I se...

Save data for only displayed part?

Hello folks, Is it possible to just save the waveform data in the current displayed window? For example, I have a long continuous repeated signal. Once I zoomed in, I only have one of them displayed in the window. Can I just save the data for the displayed part instead of the whole sequence of signa...

Re: PicoScope 6403A + MATLAB

Hi, thanks for your reply. But is there any command that I can type in on MATLAB so that MATLAB can capture and load the data from PicoScope automatically? It is not possible for me to save and load the data manually for a large number of times, since I need to do some system bit error rate ...

PicoScope 6403A + MATLAB

Hello lads,

I'm writing to ask how I can import data from PicoScope directly into MATLAB(R2010a) for further signal processing. I have a PicoScope 6403A oscilloscope and I am using PicoScope version 6.7.21.2.
Thanks in advance for any help. ; )
