Re: Confused on Thermocouple Data

and how did you setup your scope. Because I tested over here with a 1:1 probe and scope set to +/- 20mV and resolution enchantment to the max. Then I can measure the difference between hanging in the air 90uV and holding it in my hand 194uV. But remember you are measuring in the uV ranges so you won...

Re: How to make a calculation

Use the button at the green arrow.

And if possible switch to picoscope 7 because it has more features, and if there is something you want to be added to the software it will be in PS7

Re: Help with setting up Python SDK (Picoscope 5242D)

The 6000 version libs are gone do nothing for you.
I am not sure if you need the 5000 or the 5000a library's
My guess would be the 5000a because the 5242D is fairly recent.

O and when running your examples the picoscope software must be closed (not running at all)

you are using the wrong zoom button.
Use scroll wheel or the + icon not the [] icon.

Re: Max number of Picoscope 4444 usable on a computer

Ok forget the picoscope software. That would be 400 Msamples total for 4 channels. (picoscope handles up to 250 Msamples) So in picoscope software with 4 channels you get 625 kSamples / sec at 10 sec / division (100 sec total) With the SDK no problem no need for triggers, if I would do it in C++ it ...

Re: How to make a calculation

Something like below.

My guts tell me this value should be multiplied by the time between the rulers, but I am not that familiar with energy measurement of inductors.

Re: Accessing metadata from .psdata files

Depends of how good you are in hacking but the XML where all the info of the traces is in is in the .psdata file But you need a lot of programming experience to find it and connect the dots. You need to find out for yourself I will not help you with this, because the format is proprietary of picotec...

What is te max baud rade of the I3C bus you want to scan.
I see the official max bit rate is 100 Mbit / sec.

Re: Accessing metadata from .psdata files

The file format is closed proprietary. So no possibility of reading the metadata from the .psdata XML.

Why don't you use the date and time of the .psdata files.

Re: Max number of Picoscope 4444 usable on a computer

then your only option is to have 2 versions of Picoscope running at the same time 1 for each scope.
the problem is to get them in sync with triggers.

Re: Automatically saves waveforms when triggered

you can do this with alarms.
be aware you can fill your harddisk in a short amount of time if you have a lot of triggers.
