Re: PicoScope 7 T&M release 7.0.77

3. Important to note that from version 7.0.77 onwards, Windows users must be running a 64-bit version of the operating system. Although PicoScope 7 is itself currently configured as a 32-bit application, the final version will be released as 64-bit. Does this also mean we can leave the 100MS limit ...

window size after closing and reopening

After closing PS7 and reopening the window size is always 1266x633 pixels
It does not remember last used window size unlike PS6

Tried to send with feedback button but got error message. "Invalid form ID(s) submitted"
Probably because I already had send a feedback today.

Re: Picoscope 6.14.23.5207 crashes when external power is connected

O j that is more the 6 seconds ago (my memory is only 6 seconds 'blub') But tried to recreate the setup as I mentioned above and I could not repeat it, also tested on the USB 3.1 ports. Since my last post windows had got a lot of updates and picoscope software is at 6.14.44 now. And also picoscope 7...

Re: New User, Using 4224 to work a sequence using SDK

You need something to identify X, Y and Z in case you mis a trigger due some delay in the capturing. So for example if you make the trigger for X 2V and for Y and Z 5V, or 3 different voltages and set the trigger to 1V. Then the trigger gets fired on X, Y and Z and on the value measured on CH-B you ...

Re: Meaure mains with PicoScope 2204

You are still playing with mains voltage, so if you are not 100% knowing what you are doing you can get electrocuted.

A good differential probe is the only save solution !.

Re: Hi, C.C. 0V reference

It is a 8 bit scope. On the +/- 5V you have a total range of 10V
If you divide 10 / 255 = 0.039 -> 39mV

So the smallest bit you can measure is 39mV And with bit you usually get 1 of 2 LSB noise, so for a 8 bit scope this is perfectly normal.

Re: New User, Using 4224 to work a sequence using SDK

I think you would have a hard time to. 1. get data from scope 2. switch to new config 3. arm triggers 4. start acquisition. And do al this within a 1 ms time period would be impossible. (so 1000 times a second) I have never tried this but starting from GitHub is a good start, and use C or C++ becaus...

Re: AWG resolution for generated waveform

From +2 to -2V 12 bit resolution so every step is about 1mV

The output impedance is 600 ohm so if you load the output with 600 ohm the voltage will drop to +1V to -1V.

Yes but if you want power quality or even simple power you need current and voltage.

If you have done multiple posts they wil become visible immediately, the first couple of posts will be moderated by a moderator.

This is to prevent spam bots from spamming the forum. The post counter is broken (for a couple of years now) and they have to do a manual post counter update.

Re: Improving PS2 decoding

Look at the property's screen and see how you get the sample rate, as highlighted in my screenshots above 100kS/s. I know the 2405A is a limited device because it has only 48k sample memory, so there streaming data rate is limited. Options you can try. - Decrease timebase from 1s/div to 0.5 or 0.2 s...

Re: Triggering and Streaming

In infinite streaming mode you don't use triggers.

Then you do the real-time analyse in your software on the incoming data stream.

Re: Improving PS2 decoding

It looks like your sample rate is too slow. Try increasing the value of the 1 MS as shown below to 10 or 100 MS. Also turn decoding off during the capture, in some situations this will allow for higher sample counts. 2021-06-24_08-15-34.png This one is with the settings you did and resulted in a sam...
