Re: timestap of trigger

yes it was hidden, this is perfect. Feature request put the second part there also if available. I know it is not the exact time but if you have 2 captures in a second it is nice to know if it was at the start or the end or halfway the second. P.S. when you turn this option on the time als also show...

Re: timestap of trigger

it is not on millisecond but it is on seconds. Yes the PS6 supports the 4444. I think the timestamp is from when the data is transferred to the picoscope so you have to add the time from trigger to the end of the trace. It would be nice if the windows timestamp + ms value of the timestamp (also avai...

please show a photo of your measurement setup
you probably forgot to put the clip from the probe to the negative part of the battery.

filename sequence latest version

The latest version of PS7 has finally the option that the last saved filename is kept. Only the sequence numbering is at the end of the filename, this makes the files not sortable by name in sequence of capturing 2024-06-20_13-39-03.png The sequence at the red arrow should be updated on consequent s...

timestap of trigger

I have a capture with 100 wave forms over a period of 1 day.
I would like to know the timestamp of each trigger.
In PS6 you could get this from the propertys screen.
In PS7 I don't see this option anymore.

Re: PicoScope: horizontal (x-axis) scaling scaling of a Reference signal relative to another waveform file's signal

I need a reference waveform with a horizontal scale factor.
So we can align it with a AB encoder ramp up and ramp down.

Re: Need to measure 3 phase (400V) voltage and current

you will need a 6 or 8 channel scope if you want to measure all 3 phase at the same time. and HV differential probes and current clamps. this will do far better than a fluke (only problem is the industry demands a brand like fluke) If it was for you or your company only then I would go for a Pico sc...

Re: black screen on remote desktop

I have the same issue. The trigger seems to be a close of the RDP connection and connect again while the scope software keeps running and capturing data. The remote system is running windows 11 64Bit version 23H2 Picoscope version version: 7.1.21.18179 Model: PicoScope 3403D MSO Serial number: CQ923...

Re: Rise Time

It is probably confused about the overshoot of the rising edge.
By a factor of 1000 :D

If you select between rulers and adjust the rulers around the rising edge (trigger -20ns and trigger +80ns) then you will get a 12 ns rise time.

Re: Incorrect CSV writing behaviour

You need to get all samples in a single buffer, not in multiple buffers.
So you need to set 2 sec/div and only capture 1 screen.
You will always lose samples between the screens.

Re: Extended duration for Serial Decode logging

how fast is the data coming in, you can do something with triggers.

You can also use a raspberry or a Arduino to monitor / log serial data.
Unless you are looing for EMC errors or other type of corruption.

Re: What can be determined by looking at serial waveform ?

looks like a 13uS variable lengt bit strem (about 76.5 kbps)
The voltage drop to 9.5V seems to signal end of data.
Could also be a space of more than 5 bits.

Re: Problem with Manchester encoded RC5

Depending on your programming skills, you can always use the SDK and write your own decoder.

I have done this for situations where picoscope could not trigger on the rare problems we had.
The only problem with this is that displaying the captured data is than aso your problem.
