Re: Picolog 6 and forcing scale of input data

Thanks for the reply Gerry, I spent 1/2 hour writing a reply last night, and then my laptop decided it didn't want to connect to the internet anymore. Lost it all. enough complaining. In reply to why I would like to be able to display in Volts rather than mVolts. Choice. I think that says enough. I ...

Picolog 6 and forcing scale of input data

I don't see an easy way to force an input from millivolts to volts? Is that an easy thing to do? I have two channels one recording battery voltage, and the second recording the output of a tmp36 temperature sensor. The battery voltage is coming back perfect in volts. But the data being recorded for ...

Re: picolog 6.1.16 and usb permissions

Up and running! Success! SDBR thanks. Not sure how you figured out about the missing 95-pico.rules? I truly want to know. Was there a log file generated stating permission not allowed when the rule was trying to be written? I was very glad that everything worked with my pico 4423.. after I created t...

Re: picolog 6.1.16 and usb permissions

SDBR, Thank you for what you've shared. It just sounds so simple when you write about it. Will be giving it a try tomorrow AM. Really looking forward to moving forward. I wish I had your skills with Linux. No expert here. So from what I can understand. Fix the broken install. Which I did albeit anot...

Re: picolog 6.1.16 and usb permissions

I have yet to get the pi going. Honestly I have no idea about these usb permissions. I have spent a lot of time trying to get this going but no such luck. PicoLog is running nicely on my IMAC, so I will just stick to that for now unless someone has some direction for me to follow to try and determin...

picolog 6.1.16 and usb permissions

Feels like I've come along way in getting this thing going. I think this is the last hurdle. I have the software installed. I followed the install very carefully this time. I was able to run the wget for pico keys successfully, which I didn't get right last time. Now when I run Picolog I'm give an e...

Re: Measuring Micro Amps with Pico4424 DSO

Just ran into this while waiting for my alarm clock to say it's time to start the day. I guess I'm not alone in wanting to do this...

Re: Measuring Micro Amps with Pico4424 DSO

Thanks Alan, I appreciate you ideas. I've been doing a lot of reading on the subject, and it is not as easy as one would think to make such measurements. Many of the chips I'm working with for temperature sensing have idle current rated in the nano-amp range. I am realizing that it is not too realis...

Measuring Micro Amps with Pico4424 DSO

I've just started working with Arduino boards, and my current project has me using a battery to power my circuit. I would like to be able to display and record the power usage of the unit with my Picoscope. The majority of the time the Arduino (Moteino - Arduino Clone) is sleeping. I wanted to recor...

Active Band pass filtering not working?

Hello All, I just updated to the latest version of the software 6.6.16.12 Automotive, and it doesn't seem to matter what I do with the lowpass filtering - There is no effect in the display of the waveform. Occasionally, it will momentary look like it is switching on and then immediately back to unfi...

Picoscope 6 Automotive 6.6.16.12 crashing out

Hello,
I'm having a problem when lower the number of samples. The program will crash out. I can easily repeat the problem. I looked for a bug report section but didn't see a specific place to put it. I hope this is ok.

Thanks,
