Re: ADC 212 Data Freezing

Ziko, As I knew the logging would be for a week, I changed the laptop settings to never power disks down or go to sleep etc, or even do anything when I closed the lid. I have had hibernate disabled for more than 10 years when it was originally flawed. My processor is a Centrino but I wouldn't expect...

Re: ADC 212 Data Freezing

Hi Ziko,
The Pico unit is an ADC 212/3 *DFY93/047*
The PC is a Toshiba M5 running Windows XP Professional with SP2 on an Intel CPU at 2 GHz with 1G of RAM

Re: ADC 212 Data Freezing

Hi Ziko, I have just written a detailed reply using the link in the email notification. When I went to post, I had to enter two words and after I did, my reply was dumped and I was sent back to a login screen so here goes again. The original version was about 5.18 or so. I updated to 5.21.2 and trie...

ADC 212 Data Freezing

I have an ADC 212 monitoring kW (0-10V) on one Channel and Current (4-20mA into 100E) on the other channel. I then have a (Picotech) Parallel to USB converter to a Toshiba M5 and set it to record for 200 Hours (@ 5sec sampling) under Picolog. I noticed after about 90 Min the input channels froze and...

TC08 Monitoring Heatup Profiles using Excel

I originally posted this about 5 or 6 years ago but noticed that the old posts seem to have been purged. As I still use this and find it very useful I decided to post again. This concerns using a TC-08 USB to monitor a bunch of thermocouples and the logging of the data into an excel spreadsheet. The...

Re: trigger problem

Not sure of the source impedance of the waveform you want to view but if it is reasonably low, you may be able to take a parallel feed of the signal trhough a diode to rectify it and then to a parallel RC circuit say 100k // 470pF which would give a roughly square wave which goes to about half a vol...

Re: TC-08 USB temperature readings fluctuate

This question although old is timeless and as I just saw it for the first time, I thought I might share my experience. I sometimes use the TC-08 to measure temperatures within a Forehearth being heated by Gas burners. The readings are fine until we introduce Glass and Electric Heating and then the r...

Re: trigger problem

Adynis,
Just a thought, is there any pre-trigger affecting the point on waveform?

Re: AC RMS vs. True RMS vs. AC-DC True RMS... How to calculate?

Marc, Any DC produced by an amplifier does not produce any useful output, in fact part of an amplifier set up is to set the DC to zero as it simply produces a constant physical offset in the voice coil, pushing it closer to end of travel in one direction it also produces parasitic heating of the voi...

Tool to set up Picoscope for ease of RMS Current Measurement

I have been using the attached tool for the past few years and realised that others may have a use for it also. Coincidently, the previous post is on a similar topic. I do a lot of mains AC current measurements and often have to record waveforms. As anyone who has ever done this will know, it is a p...

Michael,
Not long after I made the post, it started working for no good reason but I have seen this problem before and welcome the method of rectifying, Thanks

TC 08 USB wont change from ADC 12

I use an ADC 212, ADC 12 and TC08 (USB) regularly in Picolog and have encountered a problem where I can not set to TC 08 after using an ADC12 I have loaded the latest version and found no change. When I select the converter, I do not get a message to re-start and even when I do and then select input...
