usb adc11/10: reset after program crash

Greetings all. I'm writing a macro (VBA) in Excel 2000, win98se. The macro will use the adc11 to collect data. Crashes during runs of the macro (including debugging) are not uncommon. Then I see msg "Excel This program has performed an illegal operation and will be shut down". When I acknowledge (cl...

can I use USB ADC11/10 converter as timer for short delays?

Greetings Gurus! I envisage an application (VB6, or VBA macro in Excel; VBA in Excel 2000 also seems to be VB6) using one USBADC11/10 converter. Readings will be collected, but also control output implemented in the form of changes in settings (on or off) of the two Digital Outputs, DO1 and DO2. I w...

using USB ADC11/10 to get data into Excel via VBA (or DDE)

Thanks, Michael, for yr response posted 5/9/06. I appreciate that time may be required. In my posting 27/8/06, I mentioned Excel SR-2. This was incomplete; should have read Excel 97 SR-2. Here are some additional observations from using .xls files based on usbadc11_156.xls 21/8/06 attached to yr pos...

Thanks again, Michael, for your posting 21 August, and the file attached usbadc11_156.xls (Excel example). Things have improved a lot, but I still experience a small problem. To recap: I am now working from this Excel example and using usbadc11.dll which you mentioned, from the software r5.14.6 whic...

using USB ADC11/10 to get data into Excel via VBA (or DDE)

Thanks, Michael, for the response 21 August, and for the file usbadc11.xls. I am glad to say that this now runs without crashing, with the file usbadc11.dll in \Pico Full\, and put times and values into the spreadsheet. I will perhaps respond further after some experience of using it.

Getting data from low voltage apparatus fed by a mains unit

Thanks, Sarah, for the reply. In my questions, especially ii), I wasn't thinking so much of some kind of distortion of the data obtained. Rather my concern was, what is common rationale / technique in order to ensure that the ADC-11, and even the motherboard and/or parallel port, do not get damaged ...

Getting data from low voltage apparatus fed by a mains unit

Greetings all! I contemplate using ADC-11 to supervise voltages and temperatures in a charging apparatus for up to 4 cells. The currents may be up to 2A per cell and I contemplate getting this DC current, at low voltage (maybe only 5V DC) from a 250V 50Hz mains unit (?maybe from the desktop computer...
