Re: PicoScope 7 Automotive

You will need the Test and Measurement version of the software from https://www.picotech.com/downloads The PicoScope 2205a is not an automotive device, it will not work with the Automotive and Diagnostic software we provide, and will not provide you access to the Waveform Library. So with 4 Channels enabled you would be able to stream at 31.25MS/s. For 14bit m...

Re: sdk exmple problem with picolog1216

Have you tried applying an actual voltage to the channels rather than leaving them open. For ease there is a 2.5V output on the PicoLog 1216 which can be looped back into a channel. You should then see actual values being returned by the application. PicoLog 6 is reporting values which are actually ...

Re: SetResolution on PicoScope6403

Increasing the resolution in the PicoScope Software uses a technique called Resolution Enhancement, applying a moving average filter post data collection. You can write your own version of this in your software and get the same effect. More details can be found here https://www.picotech.com/library/...

The other trigger options should be available when the analogue channels are off, this bug is on the list to be fixed.

Re: Memory leak ?

ps5000aGetStreamingLatestValues(unit->handle, callBackStreaming, &driverBuffer); You shouldn't pass &driverBuffer into the call back, this parameter is used for passing a parameter to the callback function to write values to, it is not related to the actual data. In most cases this can be a null po...

Re: How to set voltage range to auto mode??

The Auto mode in the PicoScope software is manually performed within the software itself, there is no actual auto mode on the device. You can perform the same type of approach by looking at the returned ADC counts and then making a decision as to whether you need to go up or down a range, or stay at...

Re: Picoscope 7 / 2204A device not visible

This is probably related to the two step start up process for a PicoScope. Initially they are identified as a simple PicoTech USB device as seen by your Chromebook, but then when opened by the software the firmware is loaded onto the device, it then disconnects and reconnects on the USB bus, and re ...
