Re: How to set voltage range to auto mode??

The Auto mode in the PicoScope software is manually performed within the software itself, there is no actual auto mode on the device. You can perform the same type of approach by looking at the returned ADC counts and then making a decision as to whether you need to go up or down a range, or stay at...

Re: Picoscope 7 / 2204A device not visible

This is probably related to the two step start up process for a PicoScope. Initially they are identified as a simple PicoTech USB device as seen by your Chromebook, but then when opened by the software the firmware is loaded onto the device, it then disconnects and reconnects on the USB bus, and re ...

Re: What's the relationship between timebase and Sample Rate in PicoScope3000aExampleBlock.vi

At the fastest timebases the number of channels is limited and that is why the calculation is different, as per the Programmer's Guide

Re: PS2204a LabView trigger example doesn't work

I don't have access to LabVIEW to be able to look at the example code, however the information on the function calls can be found in the Programmer's Guide https://www.picotech.com/download/manua ... -guide.pdf

Re: Problem with logger.

It sounds as if the tip of thermocouple 1 is touching a conducting surface, and the readings return to correct values when a heater or similar switches off.

Try electrically isolating the tip.

Re: FFT on EXTRACT of recorded .pspdata

Unfortunately there is no way to trim the data to apply an FFT, or select sections of data to export, so you will need to export the complete data set and manually trim the data and apply the FFT.

The correct approach would have been to use the trigger functions to collect the data you needed.

Re: Logic analyzer data: Only receive triggered data (with timestamp) using Python

Are you sure about that? The Picoscope 2000 Series Programmer's Guide shows a minimum sample interval of 10ns which would mean 100MS/sec 100MS/sec is available in block mode captures where the data is stored in the internal memory of the device before being transferred to the PC, the 2205A MSO only...

Re: Logic analyzer data: Only receive triggered data (with timestamp) using Python

What baud rate is your signal, and have you tried setting the sampling rate to the baud rate?

For information the 2205A MSO has a maximum sampling rate shared between active channels of 1MS/sec, one digital port of 8 digital channels is considered as a single active channel.

Re: PicoScope 4824A

If this a continuous data capture then you would need to write your own application to do this. We provide an SDK and example code in a number of languages to show how to do this.

For information the returned data is 16bit per sample but please note the hardware ADC resolution is 12bit.

Re: GetStreamingLatestValues:PICO_STATUS = 12

Status code 12 is Invalid_Handle which means you are probably not passing the correct handle into the function calls. You need to use the OpenUnit call to get the handle and then pass this through to each API call you use. Check through our code and you should see how we have done this.

Re: Shouldn't opening a .psdata reveal that data file in Picoscope 7 ?

I have checked on Ubuntu and you are correct it is not possible to open files by clicking on them, the device connection dialog is activated before the file load can start. I will report this to the team although I can't say when it will be fixed as there is an easy workaround of opening the file fr...

Re: Trigger Signal Generator with an Action

The 2204a and 2205a are the only current models that do not support Signal Generator Triggers, except for devices that do not have a Signal Generator. All the other models in the 2000 series do support this feature.
