The TA301 is specifically for use with the PicoScope 4444 oscilloscope, this provides power and enables the software to set the appropriate range. The reset button also gives the option to reset the configuration.

Your issue is AC coupling, a DC signal would be blocked and so you would measure 0V. The PicoScope 6 screenshot shows that it is set to DC coupling.

Have you started the recording by pressing the red button in the middle at the top?
How have you configured the channel?

FYI the reset button is the one to the right of the record button.

Sample interval is the time between individual samples displayed on the graph, not the duration of the logging run. Try setting this to 1 second and you should see data displayed on the trace.
