Re: 5244D functional with USB 2.0

Hi Mat, Is there any non-zero code returned when calling ps5000aRunBlock()? It might be useful to post the code sequences here leading up to the retrieval of data if possible or send it to support@picotech.com The only thing that should happen when the device is connected on a USB 2.0 port is that t...

Re: Picoscope Triggering

Hi gerardtouma, Would it be possible to post your code here or send it support@picotech.com so we can investigate further please? Do you see the same effect with the PicoScope 6 software at all? What is the source of the 120 MHz sine wave? Which version of the PicoSDK and MATLAB are you using? Regar...

Re: Python, 5242D, and ps5000aGetValuesAsync()

Hi Chris, How have you defined the ps5000aDataReady() callback function? You could try setting the lpDataReady() parameter to None and poll ps5000aIsReady() until the driver indicates that data is available. Otherwise, there is the ps5000aGetValuesOverlapped() function which could be used. Regards,

Re: Multiple PicoScopes on one PC using API

Hi timyin,

The status code indicates that no samples are available.

Please check to see if the respective devices are ready before you attempt to retrieve the data from them.

Re: PS4262 Cannot enable BW Limit from Python

Hi jkuhn,

I would recommend using the bindings from the picosdk-python-wrappers repository on GitHub.

You should be able to call the ps4000SetBwFilter() function in order to set the filter using the definitions from the ps4000.py binding that it is in there.

Hope this helps,

Re: SDK issues with 5444D

Hi James, Thank you for your feedback. We are in the process of determining how best to deploy the libraries which is why we have not released a new PicoSDK installer following the launch of the PicoScope 5000D Series. We can provide an interim PicoSDK installer if you e-mail support@picotech.com in...

Re: Python, 5242D, and ps5000aGetValuesAsync()

Hi Chris,

Can I ask as to the context of the requirement for this function please?

Which mode of data collection are you using?

Re: Starting with Picoscope and API

Hi Reynaulu, The ps2000a.dll (note the case) needs to be in a location on the Windows PATH environment variable. For the python code, you need to run the following command from a Command Window (make sure you are in the root directory of the picosdk-python-wrappers folder): python install setup.py R...

Re: Starting with Picoscope and API

Hi Reynaulu, We have a set of Python bindings available via GitHub along with some basic examples for a 'block' mode capture. The PicoScope 2206B MSO uses the API functions provided by the ps2000a driver. We are yet to provide examples for a streaming mode capture although I will add this to an exis...

Re: Fehler 1097 bei Knoten zum Aufruf externer Bibliotheken in PicoScope3000aGetBlock.vi->PicoScope3000aExampleBlock.vi

Hi Hörnle,

Have you installed the PicoSDK package on your PC? This contains the libraries required to communicate with the device. You will need the 32-bit or 64-bit version based on the version of LabVIEW.

Hope this helps,

Re: setup.py failing!

Hi Roy, Please check the order of the program directories in your Windows PATH environment variable. It might be picking up the PicoScope 6 directory first if you have installed that. Try placing the C:\Program Files\Pico Technology\SDK\lib entry at the beginning of the PATH environment variable. Ho...
