AC/DC

Post by Audioguy »

Not the rock band but input into picoscopes :)

I think I read something about filtering of DC when measuring sine waves but can't find info now when I search.

If I have a sinewave with a DC component on it that does not show up right?

If I measure a squarewave then I will see DC offset right?

Is there a switch and filter for this (automatic/manual?) or does Picoscope subtract DC from input when displaying a sine?

Hi and thank you for your post.

When in PicoScope there are two modes, AC and DC, AC will show you the ripple without the offset, whilst DC will show the offset and the ripple. However in DC mode the ripple will not be as apparent.

Hope this helps.

Kind regards
