Will a picoscope be still usable in years to come ?

Post by Noury »

Hi,

I would like to buy a 2207B MSO or a 3203D MSO, and would know:

- if it is really usable under MacOs (Sierra now, Os X 10.12)
- if software will be upgraded to be compatible with new versions (once a year)
- if the picoscope will be still usable in 5 to 10 years

I want to be sure I will not buy it for 2 or 3 years only

Thanks in advance

Some people are still using the very first PicoScope from 25 years ago, although finding a PC to run them on is difficult. So yes your scope would still be usable in the time frame you have mentioned.

Please note that currently the Mac software is still in Beta, and relies upon Mono, and does not have all the features of the Windows version. We are working towards feature parity between all versions, and removing the dependency on Mono, but do not have timeframes for when this will be completed.
