PicoScope refuses to open on Windows XP

Post by JamesQQ »

What's with the newest version of PicoScope? When I activate the icon it immediately minimizes to the taskbar and then will not open. The only way it will open in a window is if I right-click the taskbar and select the "Tile Windows Horizontally" option.

Why do you folks release versions before they've been debugged? Or, is that the reason this forum exists?

Hello James,

This problem is quite common although the reason is not a bug. Old settings files are present on your PC and they are conflicting with the newer versions.

You will need to locate and delete these two files:

psw.ini
pssettings.pss

They are located in the PicoScope install directory .../Pico Technology/Pico Full/

Please give this a try and let me know.

Best regards,
Michael
