Introduce myself

Post by Zoe Arabshahi »

Hello and a question,
Happy to join this useful and informative environment
I am Zoe, a researcher at Queensland University of Technology. I am conducting a part of my experiments using ultrasound. I am totally new with ultrasound and struggling to find a way to save the echoes. The problem is that I need to save the echoes from one subject which is changing by time. The echo should be saved in each second during the time of experiment.
First, I though I might be able to use the ''micro recorder". But I figured out that it is not doable because of two reasons:
1. It is not fast to save the changes in the echo in each in every second.
2. capturing the echo will stop once an echo is saved. So, it delays everything.

I was wondering if anybody knows a solution for that?

Thanks in advance
Zoe

Which PicoScope device do you have, and what transducers are you intending to use ?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

I am using Ultrasonic Pulser-Receivers 5072PR (Olympus NDT INC, USA) which connected to an oscilloscope PicoScope 5204 (Pico Technology, UK) and a personal computer via USB 2.0 port running PicoScopeÒ6 software. A 10 MHz (V129-RM) and 20 MHz (V116-RM) ultrasound contact transducer (Panametric, Olympus NDT INC, USA) is used for doing experiments.

Waiting for your response

I will upload a video clip of the echo and its changes within time.

Thanks

Martyn
