Requirements on the computer

Hi,

could you please tell me, what to keep in mind when selecting a new computer for a USB3 Pico Scope for fast data acquisition. So at the end I think, a fast RAM and SSD is most crucial and then comes a quick CPU. But what role does the grapic card play, when displaying also the data? Is the onboard graphic card of a new i7 fast enough or is an external graphic card needed?

Hello Martin,

Any new PC or laptop spec should be fine. Having s graphics card will not matter as PicoScope 6 does not use any graphics engine.
If you could find a PC that spec's it USB ports output current, would be good.
900mA is the minimum for a USB 3.0 port but higher the better.

Yes PicoScope runs fine on Windows 10, it is what I am currently using
