Convert AC Current to AC RMS Waveform?

Post by JayMann07 »

Anyone who has every recorded a mains AC current waveform knows that it's a very annoying waveform to work with especially when the current varies a lot. Is there a math channel formula or something that will convert that AC current waveform into a linear representation of ACrms over time?

This is a problem I've wanted to solve for a while now but just can't seem to make any progress...maybe it really isn't possible

Hi,

Currently you can not get a RMS value of a signal in a maths channel.
But you can add AC RMS or True RMS measurements at the bottom of the screen. These can be exported to a text file via the command line-

OK thanks for the reply...hopefully it will be added to the math channel options at some point!

Hi,

I have added your request to the existing new feature - 'Add Measurements to Maths Channels'
