Custom Probes

Post by dam »

How do you add custom probes? Is this option not available yet?
I hate having to use the Winblows version.

Hello,

perhaps picotec can added a 1:1000 and a 1:200 probes in the next Linux software release? These are very common probes.

Hi inverterguru,

I have added your request to an existing New Feature Request.

I found this old post useful

essentially you can create a windows pssettings file and use it in linux (you might need the same version of picoscope), and it will carry various features that are not accessible via the linux gui, like custom probes, invert channels, math, ...

edit:
The above was basically what I did in version 6.11, the pssettings file did not seem to bring in the new probes in 6.12.9-4r12, however, I did try importing a psdata that had the custom probes, and now the custom probes show up in the drop down menu. I am not actually set up to see if they work correctly, but fingers crossed
