Issue with Picoscope 6404D on labview2015

Post by elzaphod »

Hello guys,

I just installed the new labview 2015 on our brand new windows 7 lab computer (64-bit). Unfortunately I am not able to run my old pico-.vi's and not even the picoscope examples. On the old lab pc (win7, 64-bit, but labview 2009 (32-bit) ) everything works fine.

I tried the PicoSDK 10.6.10 (64-bit) and also the latest beta version 10.6.11 (64-bit). But it's still the same issue. One example of an issue you can find in the attachment. It appears if one tries to run the PicoScope6000ExampleBlock.vi.

For me it seems that some libraries are in a wrong directory, but I moved them as always and never had such an issue before.

I'm looking forward to get any kind of help!

Kind regards,
elzaphod

You are using 64-bit version of labview? Yes

For issues relating to labVIEW not finding dll files, this has changed recently.
Our labVIEW examples point the labview resources folder.
Now with our windows SDK installer the location of the dll's are entered into the windows path.
So you should not need to enter the directory path to the dll in Call Library Function dialog -( function tab), just name of the dll.

Currently our examples are not setup to run as 64-bit without making some small changes-
Please see point 9. How do I run the examples in LabVIEW 64-bit?-

Thank you for your help.

Is it possible or are there known issues for using LabView 64-bit and the pico SDK 32-bit on a 64-bit Windows?

Since Labview 32-bit on a 64-bit machine only can use 4 GB of internal memory it would be a nice feature...

For more information about the memory: http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/allkb/ ... 41007685FA

Thanks a lot in advance!

For LabView 64-bit you will need to use the 64-bit SDK.
