PicoLog Graph: problems with adjustment of vertical scale

Post by emforce »

When I use the graph option in PicoLog to display logged data, the vertical scale does not correctly match the range of the data. Moreover, when I press the "shrink vertical axis" button, the vertical scale zooms in instead of zooming out.

I am using software version 5.13.7 which I downloaded only yesterday. My previous version 5.12.7 did not show this problem but it is unable to open .PLW files made by Picolog 5.13.7.

How to resolve this ?

Hello,

I have checked the latest version of software but I have not been able to find this problem.

If you can post your PLW file we can examine it to help identify the problem.

Best regards,
Michael

PicoLog Graph: problems with adjustment of vertical scale

Dear Michael,

Please find the PLW file attached, together with two screendumps of what happens. When I press the "view graph" button in PLW recorder, I first see the screen of graph1.jpg.
When I then press the "shrink verical axis" button, I get the screen shown in graph2.jpg.

I hope you can locate the problem.

test3.PLW.txt
This is a .PLW file but I had to tweak the extension for the forum to accept the file.

Hello,

I was able to see the same thing as you here.
This is a simple thing, you will need to change your graph scale options. From the spreadsheet view, it appears that the maximum current you are measuring 430Amps. Your channel scale only includes the values of -1 to +1 therefore not showing the full range.

You will need to change this for future logs that you make.

Best regards,
Michael

Thanks Michael, this solved my problem.

I have another one for you: I use Fast block recording with an automatic repeat after a delay. However each time I launch PicoLog, the restart delay is reset to 1 minute. I have tried to save the settings file, all other settings seem to be saved except this one. What should I do ?

This appears to be a fault within our software.

We will look into this and get back to you.
