Pico 3424 vs 3423

Post by Guest »

Hello, I'm interested in purchasing one of these 4 channel scopes, and am curious what distinguishes one from the other. Price is the same, specs appear to be the same, so why a different model number?

TIA,

John

Hi John,

The 3423 is designed for automotive use and the 3424 is not. Some of the differences:

The 3423 has a +- 50v range and the 3424 has a +- 20v max.

The automotive software works only with the 3423.

The 3424 gets PicoLog.

The 3423 has some additional internal fuse protection.

If you want to use this in automotive get a 3423 automotive kit.

Right, thanks. It looks like the 3423 is the best for my application. If in the future I'd like to get Picolog, will it work OK with the 3423?

Best,

John

Hi John,

I don't think so. The 3423 does not support PicoLog. Only PicoScope Automotive.
