We wish to sample I and Q from an RF front end, we need 100MHz bandwidth on each channel. The channels need to be in sync, or if offset, locked to the same clock (i.e. not different clocks as we need the sync to be known, not drifting). Could the 3206 acheive this? Is the bandwidth split between the channels - we cannot use a 100MHz (cheaper) model for this task?

I am confused by the product range webpage, should the 3206 with 200MHz bandwidth not be capable of 400MS/s?

Thank you for your enquiry.

The front end bandwidth of the 3206 is 200MHz. This is either on one channel or split between two channels. The Clock is central to scope and controls the timing for one or both channels. YOu can save a PicoScope file in text format which will show you the timing for each sample on each channel, therefore giving you the exact time measurement in uS for each sample. YOu will see the offset between each channel, locked to the same clock.
