Calibration of ADC 212

Post by jia-shiuan tsai »

Hello,

I have an ADC 212 for almost 2 years. Recently I have found the
measuring value are not accurate.

i.e., I used a well calibrated voltage source to provide DC 5.000V.
however, in PicoLog, the reading was, say, 4.97V and 4.96V for
channel A and B (@ +-20V range). And it was worse in 5V range.

it looks like my ADC-212 needs to do some calibration or fixing.
is it possible for me to do some simple calibration of ADC212?

thanks in advance.

P.S. Of course, I've already tried the newest version of PicoLog.

Hello,

Only Pico can calibrate our hardware. However, you can build a custom range to calculate an offset in voltage reading.

Please read the help files on Custom Ranges.

Michael,

Thanks for the reply. I will try "Custon Ranges".

Since I'm in Taiwan, it would cost a lot money aND time if i sent my
ADC212 back to PicoTech in UK.

I have checked local distributors in Taiwan, asked them about calibration.

they suggested me buying a new one....
