Response of 2205A at higher frequencies

Post by pwright »

We have had a 2205A calibrated. One element has raised a couple of questions. A 0.7746 V RMS sine wave was fed in at a range of frequencies. At the top end, the measured reading from the logger dropped off. At 75kHz it was 0.7196 V RMS, a drop of about 7%.
Is this what you would expect, or is the logger faulty?
Is this a sensible test to have run, and should any particular precautions have been made when running the test?
Thanks,
Phil

How was the scope setup, and were the settings changed as the frequency was increased. If not then the number of samples per cycle of the waveform would be reducing and this would have an effect on the results.
