Linux supported?

Post by jmt »

Hello

I'm interested in buying a PicoScope 3205 or a PicoScope 3206 and I'd like to know if:
* there are drivers for the device on Linux
* there is a Linux version of the software supported
* availability of the documentation on the protocol of communication to the device over USB to be able to program some kind of driver using libusb or similar

TIA,

Josep

Hi

Thank you for your post.

Unfortunately we do not currently support Linux with the PS3000 series. This is because we do not have a Linux engineer to write the appropriate drivers etc.

There are some Linux drivers available for older Picoscope units however we are unable to support these.

Best regards

Protocol available?

Post by jmt »

Thanks for your answer. But you only aswered me partially: Is the protocol that PicoScope 3206 uses available in order to write one if we wish?

TIA,

Josep

Hi

I have checked with our software department and no, the protocol is not available.
