USB-TC08 w. SC terminal board

Post by bergstroem »

Hi,

I'm about to set up a USB-TC08 with a single channel terminal board to measure and log 4-20mA currents related to temperatures. I dont use a typical thermocouple but instead my temperature measurement device generates a 4-20mA signal, and my question is which thermocouple type I should select when setting up my device in the PicoLog software?

Another questions is if my logger can handle current signals (4-20 mA) or if I have to use the corresponging voltage range of 9.6-46 mV when scaling my raw data into temperatures?

Hi Henrik,

As you are using the Single Channel Terminal Board, you will need to select the 'mV' option when configuring a channel as shown below:
Edit TC-08 Channel dialog
Edit TC-08 Channel dialog
PicoLog_TC08_Voltage_setting.PNG (3.7 KiB) Viewed 2401 times
In the dialog, click Options -> Scaling, then scale the corresponding voltage range of 9.6 - 48mV to temperature.

Regards,
