Disappointed with Picoscope for Mac software quality

Post by skyflyer »

Hi!

I'm new to Picoscope and oscilloscopes in general. I installed Picoscope 6 beta on Windows 8.1 first, then saw that there is a Mac version as well. Since I'm primarily a Mac user (running Windows in vmware), I tried the software, but it is nigh impossible to use:

* hard to click on stuff (close window, activate button, etc). I had to click several times (three to four times in order to accomplish a "click"
* zooming - I can't get it to work
* startup time - it took several minutes to start (this is on iMac, SSD disk...)

All of this on OS X 10.10.4. I hope you make a decent mac version as well real soon. I read somewhere you use .NET on windows - you could try Xamarin or something along those lines for Mac as well... perhaps.

Kind regards!

Thank you for the feedback, we will be continuing to develop our Mac and Linux Beta versions over the coming months, so look out for new updates.
