hdmi cec one-wire-bus decode?

Post by quintile »

Hi,

Apologies if this is not the correct forum.

I have used a picoscope a little, and have been very impressed with the very slick i2c decode
capabilities - with real waveforms and events - much nicer that i2c debug products I have used
in the past....

but - is there an HDMI CEC decoder available from picotec? if not are there any third party
decoders available for this?

Many thanks for any help,

-Steve

Hi, Steve. There is no such decoder yet, but Pico has started adding new ones recently, at a pretty good rate. Their Beta version is now up to about 16! Which is quite impressive. So if folks make them aware of their specific needs, they may get implemented sooner.

As for 3rd-party decoders, there are none yet, since Pico has not provided any documentation on either of two methods whereby they can be created. Releasing these docs has been years in the making (literally), so I wouldn't advise holding my breath on that. Though I'd dearly love to see it myself.

Hi Steve,

The feature request for HDMI CEC One Wire decoding has been submitted to our Development Team for consideration.

If you have any example waveforms, please send them to support@picotech.com so that they can be used for testing purposes.
