MAF Sensor Bosch HFM-7 signal problem

Post by mattjames56 »

Hi my name is Matt and have attempted to test a digital MAF sensor using a Flow Bench. I have followed “Testing Digital MAF Sensors (with Frequency Outputs)” tutorial that is available on the PicoScope 6 Automotive software. No matter the flow (whether it is zero or 500cmh), I only get an output DC voltage of 3.2V.
When the frequency option is selected no signal can be seen on the graph. A red warning signal is present indicating that the input signal exceeds the selected range, but the range is already set to Auto.
I am wanting to create flow versus frequency curve of the MAF sensor
The MAF sensor that I am testing is a BOSCH HFM-7 0280218286 and attached is an image of the constant DC voltage output I read from the PicoScope.

Any help at all will be greatly appreciated

Do you mean frequency coupling as chosen for the channel (AC/DC/Frequency) option on the tool bar, or frequency as a Maths channel ?

Which scope do you have?
