Inadequate Colour Setup for Black Background

Post by Migrant »

Using my preferred black background and light-coloured traces, Yellow, or LIme, results in the Channel selection values being unreadable. The backgrounds of those boxes also need to mirror the colour of the trace's backgound.

This has been a problem for a long while and can be easily resolved.

Please fix this soon.

Software development may implement the following change-

Issue; While setting the trace colour to a light colour, this colour is necessarily used as the font colour in the Channel sensitivity/coupling windows, but you don’t also change the background colour of those windows to reflect the trace background colour but leave it as white. This obviously results in very poor contrast.

Change; So when you change the trace background colour the channels drop down boxes background colour will also change. Making the text in the channel boxes readable, when using a light channel colour (ie white/yellow)

Hi, just got here, sorry I'm late. Wanted to add another vote for this, it's really annoying. Why is the text coloured anyway?

Dear Super-User Andrew,

Why don't you just fix it, instead of voting to fix it?

What's the point of reporting these issues if you are just going to sit on your hands?

We are looking at a complete refresh of the user interface, and this will be included as part of this process. It is at an early stage so no timescales I am afraid.
