calculation of area under a curve

Post by Manuel LB »

Dear all,
I'm a user of Pico TC-08 and the software is Picolog R5 23 0.
I'm measuring temperatures vs time and I would be interested in calculating the area between the curve and the 1150°C line.
Typically, my curves look like a parabola going up and down, with a maximum around 1600°C. My question is the following: how can I display automatically the area which is between the curve and a horizontal line (@1150°C) after each measurement?

Thank you in advance
Regards

Hi Manuel,

Although the PicoLog software has a Calculated Parameters feature, it does not provide access to the time information.

You would either have to create your own software application in order to capture the data and calculate the area under the curve or post-process the data using a third party package such as Microsoft Excel or MathWorks MATLAB.

I will pass on your question as a New Feature Request to the Development Team for future consideration.

Regards,
