ADC 11/10 for measuring heart rate variability

Post by Brian »

I am interested in purchasing an ADC 11/10 for measuring heart rate variability in human patients. Is there any need for any additional hardware or software, or will EKG electrodes plugged into the ADC unit be sufficient to record EKG waveforms? What do the inputs to the unit look like? Will I need to strip wires for a post-type input or are they male-female type inputs?

Hi

Thank you for your post.

The inputs to the ADC-11, if used with the terminal board are screw terminals and thus it is easiest to simply screw bare wire-ends into them. Our software to run with the ADC-11 is supplied with it.

We recommend that our products are not used in any medical application where the output is critical. Due to the important nature of medical tests and the need for extreme accuracy, it is usually better to use units that are designed specifically for medical use.

Hope this helps

Best Regards
