PicoScope 3425 with more memory

Post by bennog »

Hello,

I am looking for a differential input oscilloscope with more sample memory than the 3425
And preferred USB3.

I want to use it for decoding a 500kbps CAN bus in a industrial automation project.
The isolated inputs make it ideal for this kind of trouble shooting.
When something go's wrong I want to be able to see the last 10 or 20 seconds of CAN messages and corresponding IO signals, e.g. CAN on chA and 3 24V IO on ch B,C and D.

Hi Benno,

We do not currently have any products that will meet your requirements.

I will feed this information through to our Development Team.

You may wish to consider a deep memory USB 3.0 oscilloscope with differential probes.

Yes I am using a 4424 with 32MS memory for this and 1 differential probe on battery but when you are tracking a problem that happens 1 time a day your battery runs out before the problem shows up.

P.S. I was impressed with the cables with the 3425 scope are you selling the cable set without the scope ?
the cables of the 3425 scope are far better to handle for IA than the probes of my 4424.

Hi Benno,

Depending on the differential probe you are using, you can purchase a power supply:

https://www.picotech.com/accessories/ac ... ope-probes

We do sell BNC to 4mm plug screened twisted-pair cable - please visit https://www.picotech.com/oscilloscope/3 ... ccessories and click on 'BNC terminators and leads'

Hope this helps,
