We recently upgrade to OS X Yosemite and now PicoScope 6 won't work. It starts, it detects the device, but it just reads 0 V (exactly) from all channels, all the time.
I connected it to a PC and could confirm that the hardware works as intended. The green light also flashes, and it makes its funny noises when PicoScope 6 starts up.
The software is in capture mode and if I add a measurement (like DC Average) Capture Count increases, but it always reads 0. I attached an image for extra clarity.
Mac
OS X Yosemite 10.10.1
MacBook Pro (13", mid 2009)
2,26 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
8 GB 1067 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M 256 MB
Sorry for the late reply, but I didn't get any notification about it.
Can you please clarify that a bit? If I start PicoScope with no attached hardware, I get No Device Found, as in my previous post. I.e. if no scope is connect I get "No Device Connected" and can only select Demo Device, which works as intended. If I decline to use the Demo Device, I get a grayed out screen. (See attachment) If I connect a scope and select it, I only get 0 V.
I'm afraid I have returned our Picoscope in favor of a standard digital oscilloscope, so I can not do any further testing. I have attached the trace.xml-file, but I suspect that is from starting PicoScope with no hardware connected, judging from the timestamp.
We have just released new version built and tested on 10.10. See if it resolves your issues.
There is one other thing we have noticed during the tests - sometimes it takes around 10 seconds for device to be available in the system after plugging it in (especially USB3.0 device). It seems like Yosemite is not perfect in this matter as similar was not observed while running 10.9 on the (very) same hardware.
