how to use PICOSCOPE 3405A to aquire data

Post by koolniran »

Hi,

I am using Picoscope 3405A and Picoscope 6.10 software to view wave forms and it looks great. But I am looking for acquiring data from input channels for 2 to 3 minutes and output the raw data as a file. Is this possible by the software/hardware I have? Or is there any other software which can be used for the purpose?

Hi,

If you are collecting around 1 million samples or less across the 2 - 3 minutes, then you can switch the timebase setting in the PicoScope 6 software to 20s/div, which gives 3mins 20s across the screen.

You can then export the data to .txt or .csv file format.

The other option is to write your own application using the Software Development Kit for the device which has examples for languages such as C, C#, Excel VBA, MATLAB and LabVIEW.

Regards,
