Parity bit settings in RS232/UART serial decoding (

Post by stevej »

Hi. In previous versions, and in the Pico6 manual the settings for Parity bit has been None/Odd/Even (section 6.5.4.4). Our current version of Pico 6 software (6.9.14.16) shows a different way of setting this parity bit (0-500). This is not featured in the latest manual. How does this equate to none/odd/even parity? We use this function for decoding asynchronous data from Fire systems so it is important we set this parity bit correctly.

Hi stevej,

After discussions with a colleague in the Development Team, it appears that this is a bug. Our system shows that this has already been reported and fixed. The fix should be available in a release of PicoScope 6.10 Beta.

I have added your comments to the bug report and will also respond via your e-mail support ticket.

Regards,
