Setup for TA 112 active probe

Post by jacob.larsen »

Hi

I have a Picoscope 6404D with 4 TA 112 probes. Do you have .psprobe files for these? The default setup with x10 seems to measure double voltage, showing 3.6V where I expect 1.8V.

The probe expects a 50 ohm load on the output.
The pico is 1 M ohm so it is normal to see double the expected output (you need to use a 50 ohm plugin)
Or set the scope to 1:5 in stead of 1:10

I tried configuring a custom x5 probe, but it seems the signal gets very blurred on the screen if I do this. Do I need to do anything else for this?

Hi

I found the 50 Ohm input setting in the Picoscope software. Much easier than using extra hardware.
