picoscope 6 with 4423 scope to replace ADC-11

Post by hillp »

We have in the past used an ADC-11 to get multiple channel traces but the device is too slow for the time resolution we now need. We have recently purchased a 4423 automotive scope, which is much faster. Can we use Picoscope 6 with this scope, and if so, any tips on setting it up to capture 3 (or 4) channels on autotrigger so that it doesn't run out of room before the 2nd, 3rd (and maybe 4th) channels have a chance to show and save their action, as is shown on the attached ADC-11 trace at around 150 - 200 msec? (Yes, the pressure sensors are quite noisy on the attached trace.) We have only used the PicoScope 6 automotive software with this 4423 scope so far (on automobiles).

Thanks.

Hi hillp,

You can use the PicoScope 6 software with the PicoScope 4423 although the PicoScope 6 Automotive software will provide the same functionality for trigger with the addition of the Automotive menus.

You could set up a trigger on channels B or C, and set a timebase long enough to capture the data. If the waveforms are consistent in pattern, you could carry out a test run and set the timebase accordingly.

Hope this helps.
