jitter on signal from maths channel

Post by nickk622 »

Squire wave signals both 1khz and 50% duty cycle, signal high level of 18.12v and signal low of 633mv and a phase shift of 90 degrees with channel2 leading are feed to channel1 and channel2 of a PiccoScope 2204A with windows program version 6.8.11.20. So both channels can be monitored for missing pulses the formular -A+B is added to the maths channel and displays for channel1 and channel2 are turned off. The remaining -A+B signal has a mask applied if the Resolution enhancement for channel1 and channel2 is increased from 8bit the display starts to jitter. What is the reason for this effect and are there any actions that can be taken to prevent the jitter.
