drivers and picopp.inf is missing on W8.1

Post by twingolo »

Hello,

I install PicoScope 6 on my new PC (w8.1 pro), restart, and then plug my 3206.

PicoScope run well, but W8.1 doesnt find the drivers for 3206, i search manuelly, no way.

I download the sdk and redirect the driver installation in the sdk directory, not better...

Someone has a solution?

PS : The 3206 has a yellow panel in the device manager with the following message (in french): Echec de demande de descripteur de periphérique. (google translation : Peripheral Descriptor request failed)

Thanks Fred

Hitesh

Hi Fred,

Which version of PicoScope 6 have you installed?

Try right-clicking the entry for the 3206 in Device Manager, then select the option to uninstall the device.

Then unplug and replug the device into a different USB port if possible.

Always the same problem when i want to load manuelly the drivers "picopp.inf" or "picowinusb.inf", he reply : "THE DIRECTORY YOU SPECIFIED DOESNT CONTAIN COMPATIBLE DRIVER FOR YOUR DEVICE; IF THE DIRECTORY CONTAIN A DRIVER, CHECK THAT IT IS OK FOR WINDOWS FOR x64 PROCESSOR".

it began to make me mad...

Hi Fred,

Is this the older PicoScope 3206 i.e. does not have an 'A' or 'B' suffix?

Does PicoScope run in demonstration mode?

Could you please e-mail support@picotech.com with details of which version of PicoScope you are using and we will look to assist you further?

Regards,
