oscilloscope + function generator -- which device to choose

Post by mikiemike »

Hi,

I would need a device which will allow me to generate signal (sine, square, triangle) up to 1MHz, up to 9V and measure signal (oscilloscope) at the same time (one channel is enough, although it might be 2 as well). Spectrum analyser would be nice. It must be able to run under Linux (ie. I need at least drivers to be able to write my own software).
BTW: is there any full-blown software for Linux available or just drivers?

Could you please recommend any of Picoscope models?
As I can see they can generate signals only up to 2V, what is the easiest way to amplify it to 9V?

Thanks,
Mike
