Is there any news! I got the same problem with Error Code 3. I tried every of your solutions. But nothing works for me.
I tried it on Debian and not in a Virtual Machine. The 2203 works perfectly on the same machine with Windows XP.
Any other solution!? I dont like windows very much

I tried all of the downloadable drivers. PS2000a PS3000 and i tried to download it with apt on debian wheezy but it cannot find the packets. So i tried to manually install the deb files from the repository... but nothing works :(

There is no driver on the repository for the 2203, the only version that will work is the one combined with the 3000 devices mentioned in an earlier post.
Try downloading the drivers and example for the 3204 (not 3204A/B), yes 3000 series, from here http://www.picotech.com/linux.html which also include 2000 version as well.

Is that the R3_6_4_4_1 versions which should work with 32 and 64 bit ?

I can't check until I am back in the office in the New Year, I don't have a suitable unit here to test with.

The Debian repository has been extended to support all 2000, 3000, 5000 and 6000 series Oscilloscopes (32 / 64 bit):

Tried to open a new topic, but stuck in moderation.

I've got this exact problem again, but on a just-purchased 2007B.

It's happening on the 2.0.0 drivers, on BOTH linux and MacOSX! (Ubuntu 18.04.2 and Mac OSX 10.13.6) Software compiles OK and links to the libraries, but stops on the open-device call. On linux, all the permissions are fine. Running as sudo doesn't help.

The picoscope software works fine in both cases. (Well, mostly fine: I found I had to unplug and replug the USB two or three times before the scope software would connect reliably. Not sure what's going on there.)

The 2207B requires the ps2000a examples and drivers, not the ps2000 ones which are for older models in the series.

I missed that. Must be in the docs somewhere, but not obvious. I might suggest relabelling the code to 'ps2000ab' instead?

Unfortunately that wouldn't work for all cases as the PicoScope 2204a and 2205a both require the ps2000 examples as they are based on an older hardware design and driver model. I am sure the numbering scheme was designed to ensure continued work for the Technical Support Team :) :(

Now you are up and running if you have any questions about using the SDK and examples either ask here or via support@picotech.com
