Measuring power for wandboard dual using Picoscope

Post by tejas1502 »

Hello Everyone,

First, I have a Picoscope 2204, MI07 logic probe and current clamp.

I have a wandboard-dual board and I want to measure the voltage
it consumes while booting the board and while running applications. So initially I am measuring the
voltage when board boots and then I have some application like running ffmpeg, gstreamer on the
board and do power consumption for that.

Can anyone please help me on what test points or from which part I can measure this voltage and then do some power measurement?
Currently, I have attached breadboard wires at JP4 expansion header pin number 1(+5V) and pin number 19(GND) for
seeing if I am getting 5V on my picoscope. And, when I plugin power cord, I am getting expected DC 5V on oscilloscope channel. Now when board is booting, I wanted to see the voltage it is consuming and here is where I need your help :D
