sudden DEATH

Post by jebo »

i have the same problem with this post:
http://www.picotech.com/support/topic12043.html
my PICO (3 years old) just suddenly stops.
windows recognizes the hardware when plug in but PICO soft does not find it (just 1 click sound when i ran the soft).
tried it on different pc's (xp sp2, xp sp3, win7)
is there anything i can do to revive my PICO? or is it just it's end of time?
as Martyn suggested on the above post, what should i check or do with my .Net version?
maybe it is just a corrupted firmware or eeprom dumps?

need help...

Which Picoscope model do you have and which version of the software are you using. Help->About in the software will give the required information to cut and paste here.

Code: Select all

HW error occurred: 6. Requires HW reboot
This line in the trace file looks suspicious, I haven't seen it before so need to check exactly what it means.

Can you contact us at support@picotech.com and include the trace file, the unit may need some tlc and it will help to start a ticket for you.
