Probe compensation

Post by liviod »

Hi, I'm after some assistance with adjusting the 10X compensation of my oscilloscope probes.
I have a 2207 scope with inbuilt AWG, when I set up a 1Khz square wave pattern @ 1volt and feed it back into channel A or B, I can’t seem to adjust the probe to a nice square wave.
If I set the probe to 1X it looks perfect.
I have tried 2 different probes and both have the same spikes shown - as per attached capture. The adjustment screw doesn’t seem to make any real difference to the pattern.
Not sure if I am doing something wrong here or if I have a problem with the scope.
Any sort of help would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Livio
