TA032 Inductive Pickup Attenuation

Post by Krankshaft »

Does anyone happen to know what the attenuation factor of the TA032 inductive pickup is? Is it 10,000:1 like the capacitive PP178 pickup?

I take it the attenuation on the TA032 is achieved by the number of wire turns on the iron core? I intend to use it on my Pico 2204 for its synchronization pulse to identify cylinder number one during relative compression tests and want to know if I would need an attenuator?

Thanks for the input.

It generates a voltage that will be within the input range of the scope so you will not need attenuators for it.
