USB link disconnects when in Standby

Post by KenArton »

Hello,
I have the 2205MSO USB oscilloscope.
When I launch PicoScope software, then leave my PC for some time it goes into Standby mode. When I then come out of Standby the the USB link to PicoScope appears to be disabled; this is perhaps normal(?). Is there any way of re-establishing communication without quitting the the software and re-starting?
Many thanks, Ken.

Hitesh

Hello Ken,

You can alter your PC's power settings so that it either waits for longer before going into standby or never goes into standby.

However, you can also disconnect and reconnect the USB cable and click on the start/stop button. You may need to go to File -> Connect Device if this does not connect straightaway.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

I know about power settings, but I want my PC to go into standby.
Anyway, just unplugging the USB and plugging it in again restores the connection.
I should have thought of trying that.

Many thanks for your help.
