PicoScope 3200 – Oscilloscopes use with logger software

Post by Colin Carter »

Hi I'm interested in buying a PicoScope 3200 – Oscilloscope, however can you tell me what I would need to add to have logging functionality? Thanks, Colin.

Some background information
Our new 320xA/B scopes will only work with the PicoScope 6 software, or programs written using the sdk. The older 3200 scopes, which are no longer sold, also worked with our PicoLog logging software.

In answer to your question
You can do logging with PicoScope 6 either by saving data files on alarm conditions such as buffers full, capture complete or similar, or by setting a slow streaming timebase to give 2hr43mins (R6.6.x) and nearly 14hours (R6.7.x) per capture screen.

If you let us know some more details as to what you wish to do we should be able to advise on which approach would work best.
