Spectrum Analyzer Logarithmic Unit

Post by dareon »

I am trying to use my picotech 5203 oscilloscope as a Spectrum analyzer. The measurement seems to be fairly accurate accept, selecting a different Logarithmic unit be it dBu, dBm, dBV seems to have no affect on the actual magnitude of the signal I am taking in. The only thing that changes is the unit but not the size/value.

So basically I have no idea of my absolute magnitude. I believe it is always staying in dBV Any suggestions?

PicoScope 6 6.6.46.1

Thank You
